Tipping Etiquette

If the driver helps with your bags, I would suggest tipping. If he doesn't, then he is getting paid the going rate for what he is doing, and would not tip.

As it will be Paris for the World Cup final, and the French are not in the final, I think he will be likely be grumpy, and will just grunt at you in the fetching gallic way.

If I am being picked up by a car, paid for by someone else, what is the etiquette on tipping? I am guessing that it will be a taxi - and it will be in Paris......

Your advice would be most welcome .......

in the us the tip is calculated into price as is tolls etc>
