CB D732 (possible handicap room) info appreciated

I posted this on the general site but haven't got a response ... We just received our cabin assignment and it is D732 on the Caribbean Princess. It appears to have a slightly larger balcony (yay!) but is set up similar to a handicap room (so no tub even though it is a mini-suite) and it may or may not convert to a queen bed.

 

Does anyone have any photos or experience in this room (or D733) on this particular ship?

 

I have found some info via Google and Webshots on the room from people on other ships, but not specifically the Caribbean Princess (which I think is the CB not the CP?) Thanks!

I don't know of any photos of that actual room, but if you are looking at the webshots pictures of D733 on the Golden, then you are looking at the same layout that you will find on the CB. Identical rooms in layout, size and decor.

 

Room was originally intended as a handicapped room, but door was too narrow. Amenities are as you described. To make the beds into a queen requires that you put the beds sideways, which hinders access to the walk-thru between the two halfwalls which separate the 'bedroom' from the 'sitting area'. For some people its a pain, others say it was not a big deal.

 

D732/733 are this way on the Grand, Golden, Star, Caribbean (CB is correct BTW ;)), and the Diamond and Sapphire (but room numbers are different ,736/737 I think on these two). I have heard it finally changed on the Crown (although deck plans do not show that, but a CC member was in the room and posted pictures showing its not the same)

Thanks for your reply. When I first started researching the room I thought I found a post that said it was different from the Golden, but now I can't find it again. We have only sailed Princess once (the Star) and the decor was much nicer than those photos appear to be :(
