soda card/cup

I know you get a cup with the soda card. Does anyone know if it comes with a lid? I was thinking of bringing bottles or something for my hubby & son to put juice/iced tea in during the day. Thanks!

Yep, it comes with a lid. And it's pretty well insulated. I poured my mixed drinks into it a few times to keep them cold at the pool. :D

It has the same kind of lid as most thermal coffee mugs. The lid screws on and off and has a disk that turns to open and close a small hole for drinking. It will leak if turned over.

I have two variations on the cup, but the one from my most current cruise in May was primarily covered with the COKE logo, but it did have the standard RCL logo positioned near the bottom.

Yes it has a top and is adorned with the Coke and RCI logo.

 

I did also bring my 1 liter water bottle and has it filled many times with Diet Soda. It is the nice way to bring a big dring back to the room for some down time reading a book.

So is it really tacky looking to bring your own thermal cup so that you can get a large glass of ice water to have with you at the pool, or to bring back to the room

If it's tacky, then I'm tacky - 'cause I do it all the time. At lunch, it saves going back and getting seconds on the iced tea.....their glasses are so small!

we are doing first time cruise, but we have done many all inclusives to different island. We are used to having our "bubba kegs" with us.(although not near as big as some i've seen)

Not everyone gets the cup with a card. By the time we got around to buying our card on the first day we embarked they were out of the cups.

I attempted to buy my soda card when we boarded the Vision at Noon on the 14th of October and they had no cups. Also on the Enchantment a few weeks prior you had access to iced tea or juice or water from the Windjammer however on the vision the waiters poured it out of containers. That was a disappointment as well as the food in the Windjammer on the Vision was no where as good as on the Enchantment
