Cruising from Hong Kong

Hi Everyone

We're thinking of booking on Rhapsody for a 5 day cruise out of Hong Kong next March. Anyone out there done this in the past? Would the passengers be mostly Chinese, or is it a good mix of Americans, Asians and Europeans. It's our 40th Wedding Anniversary and are looking for suggestions around 23rd march 2008.

Thanks in advance

Martin and Pauline

We've booked for around that time. We like bigger and newer ships better, but the idea of Rhapsody being "refurbished" is enticing to us. RCCL web site is not showing anything availability for now. Just got a call yesterday that they (added one day to the cruise before us and) cut one day short for our cruise (with no true price reduction). But we really want to see Hong Kong, so will hold on to it now until final payment date to weigh if a land-tour is a better deal. We will do pre-cruise in Hong Kong to get rid of the jet-lag (and to get more touring) and very brief post-cruise in China.

Hopefully nobody starts posting about the rude locals who ran wild on the ship, cutting lines, running over seniors, and jumping in the pool with their clothes on. :D

At least no one will complain about children in the Solarioum screaming in spanish.
