Does NCL offer proffessional Pictures? If so, How much do they cost? Do they offer the lifestyle portraits (like RCCL) ?

When I was on the Dawn in March 07. The pictures were like $25 each. My mom was with us on the trip and bought just about every professional picture that was taken of her grandchildren. She bought at least 15 pictures. She even got the photo girl to throw one in for free since she was purchasing so many.

We get few of the pictures each cruise we go on, these pics are very good and cost is alot less then studios. We have them on our walls and people always ask where we had them made. Do every night's settings, they will be up the next day and you can buy them or not, if you dont they are not upsat like some of these studios. I reccommend them highly.....:)

There are always picture opportunities, and they're very well done from our experience. They are also offered in different sizes, so the price varies there as well. Based on our last experience, we will wait until the last night of the cruise, when they offer discounts for latitude members. Keep watching the dailies for deals. :)

It's also a good idea to get an envelope put aside at the photo desk with your room number. Every day, you can select those pictures you may want off the wall and have them stored in the envelope. Those you don't want they will throw away immediately.

At the end of the week (last night), you can go through the envelope to make your final decisions.

I actually buy a couple of the bigger pictures and scan them from home myself. Some of the prices are outrageous. after the scan I do a little touch up and some of them are better then the ones that they took. I couldn't believe they were charging $19.99 for 6X9 pictures. At home I can make them for pennies. Also they were putting some pictures on Cd's and charging $25. The best advise is wait until the end of the cruise and purchase the best ones.

John.
