meganwithanh Posted September 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2004 They are playing this "game" on one of the other cruising boards. You ask a cruising question and the next person answers and then starts a new question. It looked like fun: Question: What is your favorite way to pamper yourself onboard? ElaineB2 Posted September 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2004 OK - I'll start - hope more people join in ~ Question: What is your favorite way to pamper yourself onboard? My favorite way to pamper myself onboard is to spend time in the spa - any spa service will do! OK - my question is: Which is your favorite ship? MISSYLOU Posted September 4, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2004 I'll play too. My favorite ship is Infinity. Do you enjoy breakfast from room service, the dining room or the buffet?
CaribbeanBound Posted September 4, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Answer: Never had breakfast in the room. Have always enjoyed breakfast in the dining room. Question: What is the very first thing you do after you have boarded and checked out your cabin?
catmand Posted September 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2004 OK we will play too: See previous post/cross posted: After we drop of bags and I flush the toilet we head up to the buffet. We like the buffet because all we usually get is grapfruit and hot cereal and the view out of those great big windows can't be beat. Question: IS there anything that you would like to do on your next cruise that you did not do on any of your previous cruises'?
tuggers Posted September 4, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Question: Is there anything that you would like to do on your next cruise that you did not do on your previous cruises? Yes, I want to try the tpool (already have my cheap bathing suit) and the yummy pastries at the Cova Cafe! Never done either one. New question: Tell the truth - Have you ever left your stuff on a pool chair for more than an hour while you were away? In other words, have you ever been a 'Chair Hog'?:)
cruisinjudy Posted September 4, 2004 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2004 No, except to go in the pool, and someone took my things off the chair. What is your favorite Celebrity dessert?
muffin Posted September 4, 2004 #8 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Well, I have never left my stuff on a chair near the pool, but I HAVE left a book on the chair front row centre in the Crowsnest Observation lounge on a HAL ship. the view is superb, and I wanted it after my quick lunch too. I did hurry, and was only gone 20 minutes at most! What is your favouite port of call and why?
Sky Sweet Posted September 4, 2004 #9 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Question: What is your favorite port of call and why? It is not a port per se, but my answer is the Hubbard Glacier because it made me appreciate the awesome power of nature. New Question: Do you prefer to take shore excursions or just do your own thing at a port?
akawanda Posted September 4, 2004 #10 Share Posted September 4, 2004 We have a cross over, for my fav dessert, the ice creams, yum! and the next qustion asked "Shore excurions or on your own?
Finflapper Posted September 4, 2004 #11 Share Posted September 4, 2004 I like to go on my own and hubby likes the shore excursion. We negotiate. next question: What are you bringing on your cruise that you wish you did not have to bring.
marjmy Posted September 4, 2004 #12 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Dont like to bring formal attire even though I know we have to, Would you be a happy camper if you were invited to dine with the Captain!!!
high seas gal Posted September 4, 2004 #13 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Answer: Well, in five cruises we've never dined with the captian. I think I would worry about slurping my soup, or dropping my fork. Question: Do you think the captain ever tires of "entertaining" cruisers at his dining table?
brigittetom Posted September 4, 2004 #14 Share Posted September 4, 2004 I think some do, I've seen some very bored Captains at dinner. Have you ever taken advantage of the topless deck? (ladies only) :)

Yes, I would think that the Captain does get tired of entertaining from time to time. However, it's part of his job and if he really doesn't want to do it he'll send another high up officer to fill in for him. How much do you usually donate to the casino per cruise?
trcori Posted September 4, 2004 #16 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Ha ha, funny I would "get" this question - My "donation" is five bucks. Or sometimes nothing. I spent more than eight years of my life living in Las Vegas and the whole gambling thing got OLD. So here's my question: Caribbean or Alaska -- which is your favorite cruising region of those two, and why?
HelloSailor Posted September 4, 2004 #17 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Absolutely Alaska. Breathtaking scenery and bracing weather! Who's your favourite captain?
frorilori Posted September 4, 2004 #18 Share Posted September 4, 2004 I just had to answer this one. Gavin Macleod as Captain Stubing. Question: What is your favorite book to take along on your cruise.

JNLROSE Posted September 4, 2004 #20 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Do you ever escape to the library or other quiet area for some alone time? No, we enjoy all the activity too much! We DO spend some quiet time on our balconies though. If you could go anywhere for any length of time, what would be your DREAM CRUISE????
LittleStar Posted September 4, 2004 #21 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Any bestseller with good reviews...good way to start conversations Do you ever escape to the library or other quiet area for some alone time? I actually LOOK FORWARD to spending some time alone! I have on occasion spent a bit of "quiet time" in the library, but on sea days you will usually find me on the helipad on the newer ships. Nothing beats it! Leading to the next question..... What is your favorite spot on any ship?
dmarch@islc.net Posted September 4, 2004 #22 Share Posted September 4, 2004 Answer: Deck 10, aft sunning area on the Zenith. Book 1090 or 1095 and it's almost as good as having your own private balcony. Question: Have you ever gotten a little romantically carried away somewhere other than your cabin?
Parrotgirl Posted September 4, 2004 #23 Share Posted September 4, 2004 I'll answer the dream cruise question - It would start off with a month of nothing but sea days so I could unwind from my stressful job and be pampered... and then - I would just continue around the planet - as long as there was water, I'd be on it. What would you change about the ship's entertainment...the performers...the time...etc?
dmarch@islc.net Posted September 4, 2004 #24 Share Posted September 4, 2004 I'll answer the dream cruise question I'll take that as a yes

(ladies only) :) Oooooooooops ... Another Crossover .... This one got lost! Yes, we have used the topless deck! You do NOT have to be topless and there are ALWAYS empty chairs! :p BACK to Parrotgirl's Question about the Entertainment Time Changes UNLESS we are have "crossed" again!
