We are going on our first cruise next year and will be in B710 on the Sapphire. Can anyone tell me about this cabin, such as is it a good location, can people look down on our balcony from the deck above? Also will we have much noise from the elevators or the laundry room?

We were in B709 on this years Sydney - LA cruise. I can't access the deckplans on the Princess site, but assume you are next door (though I thought even numbered cabins were inside ones, but maybe I'm wrong!). Anyway, you are not overlooked on the balcony, but you overlook the Caribe and Dolphin balconies below you. Also be aware that due to the ships design, your balcony rail is actually about 15 feet in from the side of the ship, so you can't look 'over the side' when in port. No problems with noise from elevators etc. Our cabin was almost opposite the laundrette, which was really handy on a long cruise, but no noise from it (except the squeaking lid on the rubbish bin, but maintenance soon put that right!). You will find the launderette is a good meeting place to have a natter as well.

Have fun

Sounds like b710 will work out perfect!! I am afraid of heights, so not being able to see straight down to the water is just fine with me. I was concerned with people looking directly down on our balcony, because if its not to cold thats probably where I'll be having my morning coffee in my PJ's. Thanks for the info.;)
