We are sailing on the Legend on 3/30/08 with a stop in Grand Cayman. We are taking two 13 year olds who are excited as heck to go to the Black Pearl skate park. What do you think is the best way to get there and back? I have heard it is easy to get a taxi at the peir area to get there, but there may be a shortage of taxis at the time necessary to get back to the ship. Any ideas would be helpful, please.

Black Pearl is close enough to town that taxi is probably the preferred way to go. You could probably just ask inside the retail shop for Black Pearl and they could probably call you a taxi for the return to the port.

 

Otherwise, you could walk out to the other side of the main road there to cathc a city bus heading back to town. Those cannot take you directly to the port, but will drop you at the depot about 2 blocks from the waterfront.

Sailing on the Legend, March 30

Sounds great! We are spending a week there in July for our daughter's wedding. We are thinking about getting a weekly pass for our grandson but not sure if 1 day will be enough. Just would like to know what your boys think of it.

They have been running free shuttle buses to Black Pearl, be worth checking before you lash out money on a cab.
