vickiw0318 Posted November 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Thought I'd post this link here since it mentions that most of the people that fit the guidelines mentioned are retirees. http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/SavingandDebt/TravelForLess/HowToTakeAFreeCruise.aspx

Do you have anything to share with other cruisers that might get you a free cruise?
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 16, 2007 We have come to know many lecturers who have retired and will lecture on various ships during the course of the year. They enjoy giving the lectures and, in return, they and their spouse receive a free cruise. The spouses typically have to pay for airfare and they both pay for incidentals but what a wonderful way to see the world and to have an impact on others with these talks. clerky96 Posted December 28, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2007 I found this article most interesting as John & Carol Ann Hall were 2 of our dinner tablemates on our Alaskan cruise in June 2006. They were very nice people and we enjoyed their lectures and presentations. :)

Richard in Panama Posted February 16, 2008 #7 Share Posted February 16, 2008 And have expertise about a related subject and no how to entertain as well as inform and can keep an audience awake and involved . . . check out www.SixthStar.com/index.php . . . It's not a cake walk by any means, and "entertain" is the key concept . . . and it IS work, but it is rewarding and can be fun. However, be aware that by the time you do your own air, especially to distant ports, and pay the booking agent fee . . . sometimes you could book early and a guarantee and do almost as well without the work. But if you're interested in getting your foot in the door, or on deck, check out Sixth Star and tell them I sent you. Regards, Richard
