What night is formal night? Are the shops and casino open while the ship is docked in Nassau?

The night in Nassau is formal night, and no the casino is closed while in Bahamian waters.

The casino is open (though only in the later evening) while doing the 'overnight' in Nassau.

The casino is open. I don't recall what time they opened though.

I just checked my Carnival Capers:

On Friday, October 26, 2007, the casino was open from 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM. That was our night in Nassau.

Thanks for the info. I have never done a overnight in Nassau. So, the Casino being open in a port was a new one for me.

marym: I now realize I totally ditched you on the question about the gift shops - - sorry.

On that same Friday, while in Nassau, the gift shops were open 7:00 PM - 10:30 PM, and it was the night of their "Grand Watch Sale".

Again, sorry for the omission.
