themishmans Posted November 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2007 When we travel, we like to try local food specialties. Is there anything like that in Tortola? Jamaica has jerk, what does Tortola have?
Pyrate13 Posted November 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2007 I can't think of anything I would call Tortola or BVI specific (other than Calwood's Rum) but the Roti is an island dish that you will find in many of the restaurants. The local foods are similar to what you will find on many of the Caribbean Islands, very West Indian. Curried dishes are a local favorite, as is Caribbean Lobster.
