We Are On This Cruise Always Take Limo From LI To Pier,BUT Thought We Try LIRR. Does Any One Else Travel This Way? One Concern Is Carrying Luggage To Upstairs In Station From Platform.

Every platform has an elevator, so getting the luggage to the LIRR level would be no problem. The difficulty arises when you want to reach street level. You can exit by th E34th Street entrance where there are huge escalators and an elevator. That will put you on 34th and 7th, where you can get a cab. There is also an AMTRAK elevator that goes to the street. It is next the Krispy Kreme and stops on various levels of Penn Station. A few years ago I broke my leg and needed to learn all of these facts in order to get to work.
