Todd English and included wine?

Hi folks, when we went on the HAL Volendam some years ago, we paid the extra cover charge to eat in the small specialist restaurant, (however, I can't remember now what it was called). I do remember though that a different glass of wine was served with each course and that it was included within the cover charge, quite a surprise I must say.

Have any Cunardians experienced this on the QE2 or QM, I'm wondering if it will apply on the QV?

Thanks

Pete

Two years ago on the QM2, a different wine was served with each course at the Chef's Galley (a demonstration kitchen). The charge was $30 for dinner and wine. I understand now that the policy has been changed for the Chef's Galley: there is no extra charge for the food, but you do pay for the wine. I am uncertain as to whether you buy a bottle or you get a different wine with each course.

I recall at Todd English, there was a separate charge for the wine and the dinner. Perhaps, someone who has been to Todd English more recently could comment if the restaurant has the option you are inquiring about.

When I went to Todd English in April, the wine was charged just as in every other restaurant.

I met Todd English at his restaurant "Olives" in Washington D.C- what a handsome (movie star good looks) and personable man. He was really nice and very approachable. My mother, step-father and I had the pleasure of chatting with him.

The food in Olives was fantastic and I am sorry that I didn't eat at Todd English while I sailed on the QM2 this summer.
