Nirvana Buddhist temple?

I hear there is a new Buddhist temple in St. John's called Nirvana, up by Mandal. PLease, does anyone know anything about it? Is is near any beaches/restaurants? Would a taxi take us there or should we take a group taxi to somewhere touristy nearby?

Its on St. Thomas.

 

Closest beach is Mandahl Bay; off the beaten path, rocky. Mandahl is a residential area.

 

You need to contact the temple and see if its possiable to visit. You can check their website http://nirvanatemple.org.

 

As for getting there... when contacting them find out if their road is completely paved. Some roads in this area are dirt, a taxi may not want to travel a dirt road.

Thanks! I knew some CC member would set us straight! We will email them to find out more...looks like Tom and I will be going separate ways the morning we are there, as he is the Buddhist and I am the sun worshipper.
