We're taking 12-day cruise on Mercury beginning 9/12/04, our first Celebrity cruise. We'd love to hear from any other gays/lesbians on that cruise.

We're enjoying our 23rd year together as a devoted monogamous couple, so we're only looking for kindred souls :p , nothing more. We'd love to have someone to share with, dine with, and perhaps go ashore with and goof on all the strange str8 weirdos!

If you're going to be on the Mercury Alaska cruise leaving San Francisco on 9/12/04, drop us a line at RainbowJoe@gay.com, and/or look for an onboard FOD meeting which we'll try to schedule soon after departure.

We'd also love to hear from anyone else who's taken this cruise and has any sort of advice to give or tips to share.

Hi Guys,

We've not sailed Mercury out of S.F., but rather her Alaska run out of Vancouver, B.C. It's a beautiful ship and a lovely cruise. We wish you good weather and happy sailing!

Alaska is a state with spectacular vistas. The glaciers and fjords are amazing, and you may see pods of Orca whales playing and surfing in the wake of your vessel.

Our favorite ports of call were Skagway and Ketchikan. Skagway has an interesting history and they do a good job of portraying it. Our favorite shore excursion is there, too: the White Pass & Yukon Railway tour. If you stop in Skagway, we highly recommend this tour! Ketchikan is a great place to walk and shop and just enjoy the seaside town that feels very much like a fishing village.

We also hope you'll love Celebrity. It is our preferred line. In fact, we'll be sailing on their Infinity next spring, May 1-16, Ft. Lauderdale to San Francisco. You ought to think about doing that cruise, too!

Again, our very best wishes to you.
