Cabin Upgrade and Noise Question?

I just received a cabin assignment for my December 15th cruise on the Zuiderdam. My booking was done last minute and the only thing available were obstructed view cabins, so I booked a Cat G guaranty. Today I received cabin 1030 (Cat D). I am happy to have been upgraded to an unobstructed view but I am wondering if my cabin will be noisy. It looks like I am under the casino very near the nightclub. Any thoughts? (Guess I’ll just have to stay up late each night!) :D

we once had a guaranty that gave us a cabin right next to the disco ! i dreaded it, but actually never heard anythng....it was fine. i never did another guaranty though ! i would rather choose the cabin i want

My sister and BIL happen to be in that very cabin on the current cruise. They were also upgraded to it from an H guarantee. I will try to remember to find this thread again when they get back and report on the noise factor.

My sister reported hearing the usual ship noises, nothing specifically from the casino above, and nothing that kept them awake at night :)

Sorry, haven't had time for an in-depth conversation with my sister about her cruise since she has been so busy at work this week; I just specifically asked about the noise so that I could report back to you. I will ask her about the location in the coming days... maybe over the weekend when we both have some time to chat.
