mappie Posted December 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2007 We are travelling from snowy Ontario to cruise from Miami in 2 weeks. Do you think we need to bring our own sand toys for the beaches or buy them in Miami, on ship or on the islands? We haven't cruised with our two kids (ages 4 & 6) before and just don't know what will be available where. I don't know how tight our packing will be with flying and all. Thanks! Rare Keith1010 Posted December 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2007 If you are spending time in Miami before the cruise I would just purchase it there. You can purchase them in all sorts of places including drug stores. Keith
OceanDreamin Posted December 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2007 I second what the previous poster said. On our cruise on Carnival Pride I was going to pack sand toys for our DD, but didn't have room in my luggage (and we were only DRIVING to the port). It was so much easier to just buy the sand toys in Mexico, and just left them at our last port of call.
cb at sea Posted December 3, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Why do you even NEED toys????? Give them a paper cup, and let them amuse themselves!!!! Kids will "make-do" if they have no other options! It's good for them to exercise their minds!
