Jon Boy Posted December 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2007 Hello There, I was wondering if someone could help us here. We will be in Barbados for a day and want to go to Crane for an early lunch and then hit the Boatyard later to meet up with family. Will we have enough time? Also, does anyone have any suggestions on the best way there? I thought I read somewhere that you could take a bus there? Would you no which bus to take? Is it Safe? Or does a taxi make more sense. Sure you could take the bus, but it's not like it is in your country :) it's not all cut-and-dried and punctual, and orderly and stuff!! Unless you like roughing it! Taking a taxi will get you there quicker and far more directly although yes it'll cost you more. You're going clear across an island of twisty-turny roads. ;) And you're not quite sure where you're going unless you've been here before?? When you get to The Crane, let your taxi driver go. You'll be there for a few hours, so you don't want him waiting on you "while the meter's running" (no, there are no meters, but you know what I mean!) There are taxis stationed at The Crane when you're ready to leave for Boatyard to meet your other people, who shall envy you who went to The Crane. Show them your photos when you meet.
