Taxi or shuttle from port ?

Does anybody know how much it costs for a taxi and/or Shuttle from

Port Everglades to Ft. Lauderdale Airport ?? We have 18 people and

do not have to travel together - maybe 6 in a group ?

Its about $10 per taxi, but it depends on how much luggage you have as to how many people you can put in the taxi. Shuttle rates are available from the cruiseline, but are generally more expensive (I believe areound $15 per person).

Taxi would be the fastest, easiest and most economical way to go. Keep in mind it's only 2.5 miles from Port Everglades to FLL, a really short ride. ;)

Keep in mind that the "shuttle" is more like a huge Greyhound bus and they don't leave the area until it is full. This process can take a lot of time and sometimes it loads slower than faster. The taxi's leave when you get in and are ready to go.

definately taxi, however I would look into shuttle vans that are like taxis. Not sure if Florida has them but the port in LA had them and they were very economical. I found them online and reserved on line and they were waiting for us when we got off the ship.

There will be 7 ships arriving Port Everglades (I figure over 17,000 passengers) at about the same time on the day we disembark Emerald Princess. With many people trying to get to the airport - are there enough taxis to get us to the FLL airport for an 11AM flight ... or, should we pre-arrange a limo? Appreciate any help.
