NCL Spirit - Celebrity Disco?

Hello!

This Jan. will be my first time on the NCL Spirit. I have previously cruised on the NCL Star and was shocked to discover that there was no disco or venue for dancing (other than a small and rarely used dance floor in the Spinnaker Lounge).

Looking at floorplans for the Spirit, I found something on the top deck called the Celebrity Disco. Can anyone give me any details on what kind of music they play here and if it seems to be a good/popular place for dancing?

I have also heard about a nightclub/lounge in the casino. Is there dancing there or is it mostly just drinking/socializing?

Thanks!

On our 8 day out of NY back in June, the disco was only open a couple of times to private parties. Other than that, I never seen anyone in there. Unless it was utilized in the wee hours, which in that case I would not have seen.

I have noticed that in some reviews and on some of the daily activity sheets that have been scanned and posted, that it is used as the location for the Teen program activities. Not sure if that was on certain sailings with a high number of teenagers or all the time.

We spent 26 days (2repo cruises)on the Spirit and never saw any activity in the disco on the top deck.Tidecruiser is right. It is used as a teen meeting area, but since ours were repo cruises we didn't have many teens on board.Yes, they do have music and dancing in the disco forward of the casino.

Celebrity is the teen disco. Majarini's (sp?) is the late night adult disco...very cool...not your typical ship disco...it has a dancefloor with two open rooms on both sides...hanging curtains on the walls and comfy chairs. The bar area is separate from dance floor area and the two rooms...next to bar are more hanging curtains, seats, and beds...yes...beds!

Coka is right, as always!

On my previous cruise, there was a show or special activity that lasted about 30 minutes every night (listed in the daily program) and that was to get the party going. It was fun. After that activity, there was a DJ spinning music and then replaced by pre-recorded music. It was mostly hip-hop music with some pop music and some techno music. I had fun there on a couple of nights (once until 2 am I guess, way better than my trip on the Dawn where everything was so quiet after 11pm).

The disco that is located just forward of the casino is active at night, or was on our last two cruises on the Spirit. You walk through the casino, and up a few steps. There is a lounge area, which then opens into another room with dance floor, couches, etc. DJ runs till late hours.
