Spirit Questions?

I've seen several Spirit discussions, and I'd like to ask a few questions about activities.

Isn't there a show of some sort each night? What were they like? I've seen some reference to a Newlywed Game or something for married couples? Quest? What were these things like? How much is it to play Bingo? Trivia Games?

Thanks!

Usually there are two shows per night, an early showing and and a late showing. If there is a special show there will be one show. Newlywed Game and other games occur on only one night. When and were are listed in the Freestyle Daily.

The Daily will list all types of activities. Different kinds of music or events in different lounges around the ship. You will look at it and then forget everything when you start walking around, even though you have made good plans to go to different things. Carry the one page that had the events and times with you.

will have all the dailies posted in the next couple of day. we saw the "not so newlywed game", it was fun...the CD tried to make it more fun...but the costants were very PG. DH was in the "weakest link" contest...got voted out when they found out he knew most of the answers:D .

the ship's bands were great, totally recommend stopping and listening. several nights there were some dancing in the galaxy of the stars. (had 2 young(ish) kids that could ballroom dance...made 3 older women happy...it was fun to watch them after watching "dancing with the stars" for the months before the cruise.

the comedy group "second city" performs twice on tuesday and another night (have to look it up) 7:30 and 9:30. the NCL productions players did a songs/dance twice a night on monday and another night...same times. then they had a solo performer, i didn't see him, he perfromed 2 nights...once a night.

didn't see "quest"...but it was in the daily...so was trivia. will have more facts about the bingo in my review.

There is usually a different show/entertainment every night, it usually runs twice 7:30 & 9:30. They can be musical, comedy, juggler, magic etc. Some are better then others and they change frequently. There is usually a different game each evening ie: Newlywed Game, Quest etc. The games usually take place in spinnakers lounge. You can volunteer/participate or just watch.

Bingo we found to be very expensive average price was approx $ 40 - $ 60 per sesson, you can spend much more than that if you want, usually ran each afternoon.

Trivia games are free, there are different types. Progressive that runs each day at the same time and points are accumulated for the length of the cruise. Or single event trivia - that is exactly that - 1 time event.

Check your freestyle daily for the listing of all of the days activities.

bingo prices:

Bingo: $29 for paper sheets, 6 cards to a page. $59 for the machines that plays 36 cards, $89 for 72 cards per game and then $129 played 144 cards per game. The morning cover-all went to someone with a bonus game card, something they gave those that bought the machine games, a single sheet per game. The morning jackpots were over $200, but the afternoon jackpot were less then $200. not that great of an investment for the cost of the cards/machines.

some areas of the ship were cold, others warm. since the buffet opens to the pool area and the back, open fantail...it stays warm. the galaxy of the stars has some seats that are under air vents, those areas get cold. the casino was usually too warm for my comfort. the other areas of the ship, i have short sleeves and shorts right up until dinner, if we ate the buffet...i didn't change out of the shorts.

a couple of nights, while the ship was in motion, it got a little cool outside..mostly it was warm and humid. wore shorts on all excursions.

this trip we got to sleep with the balcony door open 1 night, the 1st night..with all the fog horns blaring, cool enough to be comfortable. the other nights it was too warm/moist to leave the door open.
