i was thinking of going on the explorer on december 21 2008. anyone ever been on the ship during christmas and new years? how is it?

I've been on two holiday cruises, one on the Mexican Riviera and one to the Panama Canal. The ships are decorated so beautfilly, they have Santa for the wee ones, caroling in the Centrum - it is really spectacular!

well my husband's friend already booked it, we just arent sure if we're going to go. we would be going with a big group of people

I"m sure Explorer will be beautiful for the holidays.

 

But, the only thing to keep in mind is your destination ports. DW and I did the Bahamas on Sensation last year and things in both Freeport and Nassau were pretty much closed. One excursion we wanted was canceled because the place we would travel to was going to be closed, but we found out about it in advance thanks to CC :)

We love cruising for Christmas. We sailed on the Mariner last year. We'll be on the Brilliance in 10 days, and we will book another Christmas cruise while on board the Brilliance. It's magical!
