nicsdad Posted December 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2007 Does anyone know if there are any hotels on the Dutch side of the island that offer day passes for cruise ship passengers? Thanks in advance for your help.
beachfanatic Posted December 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2007 we always hop a cab to Orient Beach...it is a gorgeous area with many beach bars....cab ride is about $5pp and for about $20 you can get two chairs and an unbrella....try Kakao Beach Bar...this is where the cruise ships send their beach tours...much cheaper to go on your own.... Ocean State Posted December 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 16, 2007 We went to Divi Little Bay Beach, rented chairs, umbrella's etc. The cab ride was about $16 one way, for 4 people. I can't remember if we paid for a day pass or not...but there is also a nice restaurant there as well, and water sports.
39august Posted December 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2007 No day pass is required at Divi Little Bay. However, the beach is mostly man-made and has coarse sand. Other island beaches are nicer. Oreint is a good choice, tho' it gets crowded. We prefer either Dawn beach or Mullet bay beach. Taxi prices are listed at the pier taxi stand.
