Waiting to board in Fort Lauderdale

Throw away the Princess transfers and hop in a cab for the 5 minute ride to the port. Otherwise you'll be sitting on the Princess bus for an hour or more waiting for it to fill up before you leave for the port.

Most cruiselines start boarding between 11am and noon regardless of what the "official" boarding times are. If they waited for the official boarding time to start boarding they would not be able to depart on time. ;)

4 hours before official boarding time

If your documents say boarding is at 3:00 PM you will likely be able to board around 12:00 Noon so it sounds like you should be able to just come over to the cruise ship terminal directly from the airport. If you have the cruise line transfers that is what likely will occur.
