Cozumel - Blue XT Sea

Just got back from our extended cruise thanks to Hurricane Frances. We dove with Blue XT Sea last Friday.

Christy runs a TOP notch operation. Although Christy didn't dive with us that day she left us in very capable hands with her DM Pedro. Pedro makes it perfectly clear that safety is always his FIRST priority.

We were completely pampered by Pedro (DM) and Hector (Capt). From the moment we arrived they set up our equipt for both dives, helped us suit up and out of our BC's. Fresh water rinsed our faces when we reboarded the boat. Put a cup of Gateraide in our hands almost immediately out of the water.

Pre dive briefings were detailed with each diver being reminded of his or her need for a 5 minute safety stop. We were allowed to dive our computers until 700 psi was reached. At that point Pedro would ask everyone how much air they had. The second lowest diver was then buddied up with the low man and were instructed to surface. Everyone else remained below until 700 psi was reached (50 and 53 minutes).

Five out of the Six divers on the boat had never dove Cozumel. When Pedro heard that he said he would take us to a location that would surely keep us coming back to Cozumel. Boy was he correct.

Our first dive was Palancar Bricks. We saw several Turtles. My DH was so close to one feeding on a side of a wall he could have touched it.

We spent our SI at a very nice beach where we could buy lunch. Christy met us there and we enjoyed some good conversation.

For our second dive, we told Pedro that we would like to see sharks. He took us to Santa Rosa Wall where we saw several nurse sharks and two rays.

This is by far the best dive we have had in years! I would recommend Blue XT Sea to anyone. However Christy made it perfectly clear to us she doesn't often cater to cruiseship passengers due to their unpredictablity.
