cruise_lover Posted December 21, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2007 I am not endorsing them, just answering your question. I bought a couple of camera bags/purse (one for me and one for my sister) from this company www.rei.com . Would I use them again? Yes I would. Was I satisfied with their product and service? Yes I was.
candydane Posted December 21, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 21, 2007 I have a Cruising Caddy II that I love. It does double-duty by carrying a water bottle, which stays surprisingly cool even in hot climates. I think I bought it on ebay, but you can Google to find it if you don't want to buy it from the linked website.
cb at sea Posted December 21, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2007 I just carry a small summer-looking bag. I don't want too much room in it, or I'll end up carrying EVERYTHING for EVERYONE!!!!! That's no fun and no good for my shoulder! I can fit credit cards and money, plus comb, lipstick, etc... and still have a bit of room for anything else I might want to put in there! You really don't need to buy something special to go ashore!
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 22, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 22, 2007 You may get some ideas from the following place. We have used them before for luggage. You can do a search and type in travel purses. LynnAB Posted December 23, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 23, 2007 This is also a great purse: www.celicase.com The celicase looks great. I would love to find something LIKE that but less expensive. The size looks perfect. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks! Lynn
goLC Posted December 23, 2007 #8 Share Posted December 23, 2007 I got a Heyes travelmate bag that was recommended on these boards. I got it from ebags.com; just go to their site and type in "Heyes" on the search bar. I liked it so much I kept using it after we got home! My friend got a similar one from travelon, but hers rubbed her neck and was uncomfortable. I loved mine and so did another friend who got one. Kristina685 Posted December 23, 2007 #9 Share Posted December 23, 2007 Depending on how big your camera is, Coach has some smaller wristlets that would work well for a cruise. If you can find a Coach outlet store (or somewhere online) they sell them at really good prices for a good quality product. My wristlet can hold my cell phone, keys, and my driver's license/credit cards. My cell phone is about as big as some of the cameras they have out now lol :o The best part is, you can let it slide down your wrist and not worry about it falling off! Best of luck finding one! :D ~Kristina
BSQ Posted December 23, 2007 #10 Share Posted December 23, 2007 I use Dooney wristlets. So depending on your camera, it might work for you as well. I used the "flap" wristlet and had in it my S&S card, cabin key, canon A95 camera (not as small as some out there), lipgloss, ID holder with some money. If I'm carrying the camera then I can stick my cell phone, a tin of mints and a pack of tissues in it.
LAngle Posted December 25, 2007 #11 Share Posted December 25, 2007 This looks promising. I remember the name from some other thread wanting a small purse. http://www.ebags.com/baggallini/wallet_bagg_small_microfiber/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=5790 Or this might work: http://www.ebags.com/eagle_creek/passage_wallet/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=89791&rlid=subcat&rcode=644536000976588 Or this: http://www.ebags.com/eagle_creek/priority_pouch/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=95698&rlid=detail&rcode=121281679310501
