St. Petersburg/Moscow on Viking River Cruises

My husband and I are considering this cruise for July or August. Has anyone used this company for this cruise? If so, what has your experience been? Interested in pros and cons.

 

Have cruised on oceanliners to Bermuda, Alaska, and South Pacific.

See my review of the Viking Surkov for the 7/15 sailing this year. It's on the Viking Waterways of the Czars 7/15 Surkov thread. IT's honest, and hopefully it's informative.

Remember the Viking RIver Surkov is in dry dock. It will have 1/2 the present number of cabins. Cabins will be larger with hotel style beds and bath with shower stall.

 

We are booked for the early October 2008 sailing.

I forgot to mention that in my reply. You're right. The ship will be radically different and much more similar to western style ships. But the trip is still the marvelous experience of sailing through Russia which I'm sure you'll enjoy as I did!
