Kamloops50 Posted December 26, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted December 26, 2007 What I'm wondering is if the cruiseships take the same route as the Alaska ferries?
hawgwildterry Posted December 26, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2007 Thank you for the clarification of your question. Sorry, but I do not have the answer. Looking at the Alaska Marine Highway schedule, they are not showing anything for summer 2008 at this time. http://www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/index.html
PennyAgain Posted December 26, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2007 What I'm wondering is if the cruiseships take the same route as the Alaska ferries? The cruise ships going from Ketchikan to Haines follow a similar route to the Alaskan ferries, but there may be routing variations due to the amount of traffic in the sea lanes, depth of the water, time of day, tides and weather. If you get yourself a big map of Alaska you will see many small islands. A ship may go to the right of an island on one cruise and on the left the next cruise. Are you trying to see the Alaska ferries or communicate with someone who is working or traveling on them?
