davisrnr Posted December 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2007 I understand that there is a transportation pass for Bermuda? Does anyone know the details of this? Will this get you everywhere you need to go? Is it a good choice with a family with 3 children ages 10-12?
iheartbda Posted December 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2007 The transportation pass will get you anywhere you want to go since it can be used on both the busses and ferries. Public transportation is excellent and it's a good way to see the countryside. 1day 3day Adult $12 $28 Child $6 $14 Some prefer to pay as they go but you need exact fare and for 5 of you it would be a hassle, more convenient to have the passes. Is it a good choice? Only you can decide based on how many places you want to go. At the top of this forum is a link to the bus and ferry schedules which may give you more information. Taxis run $7.19 for 5-6 people for the first mile and $2.50 each additional mile.

This entitles your to unlimited travel on all the buses and ferries in Bermuda for three days and it is very easy and safe to get around this way. Check at the Visitors Service Bureau in or Transportation Center near where you will be at anchor/docked. Taxis can get quite expensive. The buses and ferries do not usually run later in the evening, though, so if you are out late you may need to take a taxi for the return trip. Children under 15 ride at a discounted rate. I am not sure if a taxi would work better, if you are all staying together, if taxis would be cheaper. http://www.bermuda.com/transportation/ferries/ http://www.ca.gov.bm/portal/server.pt?open=512&objID=252&&PageID=468&mode=2&in_hi_userid=2&cached=true
