ahoys Posted December 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2007 Two platinum cruisers, two different families: My friend and I are sailing in April (leaving DH at home) and we are both platinum. I fear that we will fight over the tote bag that comes as a perk for platinum cruisers. Will we receive two tote bags or only one? Does anyone know? PA Dutchman Posted December 31, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2007 You should but they don't. The last 2 cruises we got one tote bag. We did get Petit fours one night and canapés one night delivered to cabin . (Must be on a 7 Day or longer cruise) A special Carnival logo item was one tote bag. It should go by how many people are Platinum not by the room. We didn't bitch about it how many bags can you use. We get 2 more in Jan. Now its time for something else. It will soon be lots of Totes on E-Bay
ahoys Posted December 31, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted December 31, 2007 Well, that's what I was assuming. Thanks for the response. I guess we'll have to flip for it ... we just love those tote bags!
cjm61 Posted December 31, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2007 The same thing happened to 2 people I met on my previous sailing on Triumph. The cabin steward told them to just go to the pursurer's desk and ask for a 2nd one. They did and they were accomodated. Maybe it will work for you. Hopefully you won't have to flip for it. Enjoy your cruise :p

jbhcw Posted December 31, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 31, 2007 I have been giving my totes to dil and son's gf:) We have, a few times gotten two bags. Give your cabin steward a little something and ask about two bags. We asked for more Celebration pins on our last cruise and he brought us two more:)
ahoys Posted December 31, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted December 31, 2007 Thanks, Jane...it never hurts to ask.
LHP Posted December 31, 2007 #8 Share Posted December 31, 2007 I can understand why they made this change. We were getting 4 bags on every cruise (hubby, I and both boys are Platinum) and that was wasteful. I am ok with it, as long as Carnival honors all request like yours where the 2 Platinum members (in one cabin) want the extra bag!!

I fear that we will fight over the tote bag that comes as a perk for platinum cruisers. Will we receive two tote bags or only one? Does anyone know? My 12 year old daughter shared a cabin with her grandparents this past July (different last names, all are Platinum). My mom asked the Cabin Steward for a 2nd bag, was told to go to the Pursers Desk, did and got the 2nd one without a problem.... . How many cruises before you are platinum status? Your 10th cruise makes you Platinum Status....
Uncle Doug Posted December 31, 2007 #11 Share Posted December 31, 2007 On our Platinum cruise we only received one bag. We did call the pursers desk to ask and were told only one per cabin. We did not push the issue. When we boarded my wife was not listed as being Platinum but we had printed out her cruise history and presented it to the pursers desk. They said to comeback in an hour and it would be fixed and it was. When she went to the casino to use he free BJ entry she was not on the list. She showed her Platinum card and they just wrote here on the list and had her sign for the BJ entry card. The free laundry service was nice once we go the hang of it. Laundry must be bagged in the early morning and it was returned the same evening. We did have to request additional bags for the rest of the week as there was only one in the cabin. Also each time we presented our Platinum card we were asked how many cruises we had been on. Also the cabin steward must of known before hand that we were Platinum as she made a point of asking us about it.
