Hi all -

 

With playoff season coming up - does the Conquest have anywhere to watch the playoff football games? ALso does it ever show movies?

The Conquest does not have a big screen by the pool on the Lido yet. It will be installed when she next dry-docks. There is a sports bar on deck five off the atrium and attached to the Casino. Four big screens behind the bar will have the playoff football games showing. A big screen TV is located by the casino bar along the Promenade which will probably be showing the games. The games will also be available on your cabin TV, which also shows movies on a regular schedule. Check your Capers for details.

 

The Conquest doesn't have a movie theater. No movies were shown in the Toulouse-Lautrec lounge on either of our sailing but I think I remember reading a few reviews where movies were shown. Perhaps someone can verify that. Our first Conquest cruise was in 2003 on Super Bowl Sunday. They showed the game on the Giant screen in the Toulouse-Lautrec and it was fantastic! But I doubt this will be done for any of the other games.

You gotta be encouraged for next year by the Clowns;) being knocked out of the playoffs on the last play of the last regular season game of the year. Who would have thunk it at the beginning of the season?:confused:

My first cruise of 2008 is the morning after the Super Bowl and only a five day cruise, so we're home in time for the Pro Bowl... BUT, the networks usually carry the games -- unless nflnetwork.com has it -- then no one gets it... So you should be fine!

You must be a Cowboy fan, too!!! I hated the last few games, but I know they were just hanging back to lull the other teams into thinking they'd be easy to beat. That's when we take advantage and bull dog 'em!!

 

I hope I'm signing praises to the 'Boys all the way to Galveston the morning following the Super Bowl!

Since Wade Phillips never won a playoff game in his three previous stints as a head coach, maybe he has just molded the Cowboys in his image. :cool: :D ;)

We just got off the Inspiration (yesterday). The last games of the season were shown on room televisions and the big screen televisions in the bars. So, I am sure all ships will be showing the playoff games. We had CBS, NBC, ABC, and ESPN. The only problem with watching the game in public areas is you have to put up with any obnoxious fans.

Don't you mean it was a rebuilding three decades??? ;) Even Belichick couldn't win in Cleveland:confused: ...LOL

 

I thought the Clowns were one of the hottest teams in the league down the stretch, and then the Bungles beat them. Looks like they are ready for next year....I just hope Jax doesn't knock our heads up our butts...:eek:
