Don't miss chocolate buffet last sea day, lido buffet, at lunch. Also, visit the spa/gym. The view up there from the ellipicals is FANTASTIC and even if you don't exercise, the hot tub w/waterfall is the best on the ship and NEVER crowded. Just turn in your sail-n-sign for a locker key N/C. Are you considering the east or west itinerary?

Don't miss the ship:D

But seriously, don't miss the fish & chips on the second level of the Red Sail.

Our goal this cruise was to relax, so we booked no excursions and never rushed to get off the ship!

This is our motto - this next cruise.

Music Expressions in Bar Blue for great classic rock and dance music.

Those guys ROCK!!

Be sure to try The Emerald Room for an out of this world eating experience. Definitely worth $30 pp IMHO.

We had a great time in On the Green. the sports bar adjacent to the casino. On Monday night we watched the Patriots beat the Ravens. The place was rocking!!

Glory is an amazing ship. You will have a great time I'm sure.

Happy cruising!!

Actually, I found the battered fish at the fish and chips bar was a little greasy but the calamari fritters were fantastic! Don't miss the spring rolls at the Asian grill or the sushi bar at the Red Sail restaurant, I didn't find it til about the fifth day. The grilled reuben at the deli is worth a taste.

Wee Jimmy was a blast and I'm a tough audience.

Your review and your pics are TERRIFIC! Thank you so much for sharing!

As you can see, our 1st and only Cruise so far was on the Glory, Eastern. for our 30th Wedding Anniversary.. We absolutely loved it! The beautiful blues of the water were just amazing and we enjoyed our balcony very much, we wouldn't cruise without a balcony. It was wonderful sitting on the balcony drinking a cup of coffee, watching the water, reading a book, watching the jumping fish... just so peaceful. Nice....

We definately have to book another cruise soon.. I have it bad.... people say that after you 'book' another cruise and not just think about another cruise, that it helps! :D

Happy Cruising!

You are so lucky that this is your 5th Cruise! My Hubby tried to talk me into going on a Cruise for 10 years, I finally gave in... boy, wish I would have 10 years ago! ;)

We loved everything with the Cruise... we really enjoyed the shows, the one with Wee Jimmy wearing his kilt was a hoot, the newly wed/not so newly wed game was funny to, we laughed so hard! In Nassau I found a Starbucks, that shocked me... and ... yep! I had to have one! :p We loved St Thomas and St Marten, beautiful, just beautiful.

I hope you have the best Cruise ever! :D

As this will be my tenth cruise, I'm still looking forward to the following for the first time:

Fish and Chips (or should I say...Calamari Fritters)

Supper Club, Supper Club, Supper Club!

Having my wife join me for the Past Guest Party!

Reuben sandwiches.

Bloody Mary specials in the morning as I lay out early during the Fun Days at Sea (I've recently acquired a taste for them, especially if they are spicy)

Things I look forward to as a cruise lover:

Laying out in the sun.

Spending time with my wife.

Laying out in the sun.

Enjoying good food and great conversation.

Laying out in the sun.

For the first time ever, not having any excursions planned at the ports of call. Just going to "wing it" once we get there.

Laying out in the sun.

Late night, adult only comedy shows.

Walking with my wife, hand in hand, outside on the decks, after formal dinner.

While laying out in the sun, being mesmerized by the sea.

Observing how calm and quiet the ship is during the early morning hours.

Burgers made to order, and a nice cold beer on the Lido deck, while people watching (Seriously, does it get any better than that???)

Sunsets, sunsets, sunsets (with the wife, cuddled in a lounge chair)

....and, of course, laying out in the sun!!!:D

I'm doing the Eastern next week. The hot tub you mentioned is that in the spa? What all can you use in the spa area thats no additiona charge? Do they have a sauna? How about the Thermal Lounges? (I'm sure that would be an extra charge just wondering if they are available)

No, there is no extra charge for the sushi.

Thanks for the response, I also saw you went to the Catamaran excursion to St. John. Was it worth the price? My wife and I are thinking about taking that excursion since we have been to St. Thomas numerous times and want to do something other than Magen's Bay.

I read somewhere that it's a bad idea to book a room directly above one of the nightclubs (too noisy it said). We're going to be directly above the Ebony club's stage. Do you think that's going to be a problem or do you think the noise issue is overstated?

Thanks,

Rob

Oh yes, I really enjoyed the St John Champagne Catamaran Sailaway, It was worth it to me and a great way to spend Christmas Day. There are a few pics from the excursion on my webshots page linked in my signature. There was another couple from the same cruise who have some pictures here http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLandingReg.jsp?Uc=bf3j8u9.6s4trddp&Uy=3124g8&Upost_signin=Slideshow.jsp%3Fmode%3Dfromshare&Ux=0&UV=98729996037_301574601605

The crew was great, lots of fun. We actually motored out and back as the water was a bit choppy but still a nice ride out to Honeymoon Bay. It's a beautiful secluded beach, only 2 other boats there the day we went, I think you can only get there by boat. Powdery white sand bottom at the beach. Saw lots of fish and coral only a short distance from shore.

They have a little dinghy with which they will motor you to the beach if you want to snorkel from there or you can go right off the boat. I chose to get a ride to the beach then I snorkelled my way back to the boat. Once back on the boat you can have the champagne and/or Painkillers (a very tasty rum drink), they also have some snacks.

Friends of mine have gone on a private sail to another cove that they arranged themselves, not sure how much that was or who they went with but they loved it! If you want I can get the info from them.

If you don't need a balcony, I HIGHLY suggest booking a room on the Spa Deck. These rooms LOOK like the standard room, but are longer and wider, and feature floor to ceiling windows, the whole outside wall is glass.

One thing I enjoyed was laying in bed and seeing us pull in to port, or leaving. There is a small table and chairs at the window. This is my favorite cabin setup so far, My friends had a balcony room on the Empress deck, that was very nice, but this room was very bright and cheerful during the day.

This deck only has a small number of cabins, which means no long hallways, rooms were ready @ 12:00 because of the small number. The atrium elevators and the regular elevators were very close, and the lido was just 2 levels below.

Great post and pic Mona! I will be on the Glory 3/1/08 and was wondering if you remember what nights the formal nights are. Also, has anyone ever used Sunny Liston in St Thomas? If so, do tell...........
