jjeffjb Posted January 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2008 In St. Thomas take the snorkeling excursion to Trunk Bay on St. John. It's a beautiful beach with a wonderful underwater national park for snorkeling.
O2B@C Posted January 4, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2008 Suggestion: Don't limit yourself to the excursions offered by HAL. Check out the appropriate boards in the Ports of Call boards for ideas and feedback about other options (as well as about the HAL excursions). On Grand Turk, if you want to snorkel, look into going to Bohio Dive Resort at Pillory Beach. I wanted to go there in November, but the weather and my DH's health didn't cooperate. People generally speak very highly of it, though.
catl331 Posted January 4, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2008 Fellow CCer "High Flyer" was on our recent Zuidy cruise and he thought the ship's Power Snorkeling in Grand Turk was great. (see our Zuidy reviews under ship reviews). I have read from fellow cruisers that Grand Turk is a great place for this sport as it has not been built up by over-tourism.:D
Jen&Joe Posted January 5, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2008 Grand Turk - I would recommend the dune buggy adventure. We had a blast! In Half Moon we rent the inner tubes and spend the day floating around.
