Diane65 Posted June 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2004 I've noticed that many of the beaches offer jet ski rentals. Does anyone have an idea with the cost of rental might be? How about the cost of parasailing? Or a website that might have that type of info. Thanks so much.

scubagirrl Posted June 6, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2004 Jet ski's are available at Cabbage Beach (Atlantis-Paradise Island) as well as Cable Beach, and on most excursions to small islands. (the vendors sometimes follow the boats out to the islands). The start off rate is about $85 per 1/2 hour, but you usually can get them down to around $55 or $60. On Cable Beach, you're more likely to get them down even further. The surf is rougher at Cabbage Beach than it is on Cable Beach. Parasailing is about the same. around $65 for each ride. Diane65 Posted June 7, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted June 7, 2004 Thanks for the jet ski info. Are the beaches very far from the dock? I assume we could get there by bus or taxi?
scubagirrl Posted June 7, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 7, 2004 To get to Cabbage Beach, take the Ferry boats from the docks to Paradise Dock ($3pp), walk along the pathway for about 5-10 minutes to the walkway next to the Sheraton Grand. (you'll pass Atlantis on th way). Ferries run from 9am to 6pm daily. To get to Cable Beach, either grab a cab for about $12 for 2 people, or take the #10 jitney (minibus) from downtown near the docks (ask for directions, it's just a couple of short blocks to the bus stop). Ask the driver to drop you off at the Cable Beach Hotels. The fare is $1pp exact fare only, and you pay as you leave. Buses run til about 6pm.. and they run every few minutes.
