Excursion to Cancun from Acapulco?

I was just looking at my e-docs, and I am confused by this:

 

Friday - Acapulco* - Arrive 12 pm

Saturday - Acapulco - Depart 1 am

 

*Occassional tender and optional shore excursion to Cancun available

 

Uh, are there 2 Cancuns in Mexico? Why would you get a shore excursion to Cancun (in the Yucatan) from Acapulco?

 

(I do realize that we get in to Aca at noon, and don't leave until 1 am ... that part isn't confusing)

You're not getting an excursion to Cancun from Acapulco, so I wouldn't worry about it.

The van they use to transfer passengers must be fast. Very, very fast. :o

It's possibly a plane trip.. but doubtful.

Having never been to Cancun, and not really knowing where it was (until the comments here) the guide could take me a half hour up the beach, tell me we are in Cancun and have a pretty good chance I would believe him! :D <I'm just a sucker I suppose!>
