Kobe Hotel?

Our cruise (HAL Statendam) has changed departure ports from Osaka to Kobe. This did not cause any problem with our independently booked air, but we're still not finalized on a hotel. We will be in Kobe 3 nights prior to boarding. Does anyone have a suggestion - reasonable price, nice but luxury is not necessary.

I cannot help you with a Kobe hotel. However, since you do have three nights prior to boarding, you should seriously look into going to Kyoto and Nara for those days. This is the old Japan (gardens, castles, shrines, temples from the 7th to the 17th centuries). Truly beautiful and historic; one of the very best reasons to travel to Japan.
