PLEASE ADVISE: Room noise on UPPER DECK on CONQUEST

Hello everyone,

Going on our 2nd cruise on Conquest in March of '09. First was with Royal Carib. back in '06. This is our first time cruising w/ kids: DD who will be 9 by then and DS who will be 6.

We decided to book 2 interior 4d adjoining rooms numbers 6297 and 6295 on the UPPER DECK.

We did it to give us extra room to spread out and that we dont have to sit in the pitch black when the kids go to bed. (Still works out cheaper than a single balcony room.)

My only concern is that these rooms are right above the casino. I like being "sandwiched" between 2 passenger decks, but the Conquest layout makes that tough.

I have plenty of time to change back to a single room if I need to as of now so any input would be greatly appreciated!

I have tons of Camp Carnival and dining questions to come, but for now, I'd like to get this room thing settled.

I know someone who stayed above the piano bar on the upper deck and lived to regret it big time... but can you hear casino noise from below into the late evenings?

That is a tough call. We stayed on the Upper deck of the Glory last year, corner aft. The noise in our hallway from the clubs below was loud every evening. We could not hear much in our particular cabin, but I know others further down the hall could. As a result, we got cabins one deck up this year on the Empress Deck. You may find something on this thread about your cabin:

We were right above the entrance to the casino but on the Liberty and heard nothing. We worried about it for nothing so I bet you will be fine. We ended up loving the deck easy down and up only a few decks to get to everything!! Have fun!

Mach is right, my wife and I were on the conquest in cabin 6419(upper) and we did not hear anything. The only complaint I had was iit was a little hot in my cabin even with the balcony door open, i think it was an AC issue. We would come back to our cabin around 2am and it would be soooooo quiet. Upper deck is a very good deck, you won't regret it. Also, you won't regret the Conquest. Don't know if this is true but heard from previous Royal Carib passengers that after being on the conquest they would never go back, too many activities on the conquest.

It's like i told my wife cannot go on any other ship and get so much for the price. Heard disney is nice for the families but you're paying the price. This time we are taking my 23 yr old son and my future daughter in-law (hope). We are helping him pay for her way but it'll be worth it to see their faces once they board. Abster ? EXPECT TO HAVE ALOT OF FUN !

they sure are pricey! It would be amazing to nab a special if I could find out about one but I am sailing during Texas spring break week in '09 and I hear there's not too much around in terms of specials. Any suggestions on how to keep an eye out?
