NCL Spirit

DH and I are thinking of booking a balcony room on the 6/14/2008 NCL Spirit. This will be our fourth NCL cruise; the first three were on the Dawn (which we loved!) We checked on the NCL website to find out if there are any differences in what balcony category we book; but all the categories (BA, BC, etc) look exactly the same. Can some one tell me if they are all the same size. Does it make a difference what deck we are on. Also, DH and I loved the casino on the Dawn. Does the casino on the Spirit have similiar slots and games such as three card poker.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks:)

If on the NCL website, select the different catagories of the balcony rooms, my guess is the only difference will be the location of the rooms. The BE rooms are towards the back on deck 9.

We were on deck 11 - port - mid ship. Here are 2 pics - view of balcony Thurs a.m. in Belize (my Dad down at the end) and Friday evening about to leave Cozumel (anonymous next door neighbors on adjacent balcony). In Cozumel we were docked across from the Conquest. Conquest had the LSU/Arkansas game on TV and Spirit did not so we were all on the balconies trying to watch the game / hear the score!

we did a BD (deck 9), the price was less then the other balconies...the cabin was the same. loved the location, no inside cabins in that area (9636). very quiet, less hallway traffic. we were between the mid-ship and aft elevators/stairs. easy to get everywhere. being up a deck or 2 wasn't worth the extra cost, for us.

port side was nice on our trip, we got sunrises for 3 days and sunsets the rest of the time.

at the time we were looking to book, all the balconies were the same price. when we went to book on a monday, the BD had dropped $70 pp.

we were across from the conquest, too. but we were looking at how huge she looked next to the spirit.

When we booked our 'deal' was a 2 deck upgrade for same price - or so TA told my dad. Only disadvantage is that you are directly below the pool and if you are a light sleeper, you might wake up each morning at 6 to the sounds of the crew moving the chairs out. (Didn't bother us) I don't think there was a difference in the size of the rooms or balconies.

The Conquest used to be based out of New Orleans (pre-Katrina). We were on the NCL Dream back in 2003 (I think) and both ships sailed on the same Sunday from the dock in NO. We felt dwarfed!
