bkp Posted January 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Will be on CB next week and are wondering about prevalence of insect pests (mosquitoes, flies, gnats, no-see-ums, etc.) this time of year at St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Princess Cay. Thanks!
Toto2Kansas Posted January 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Never had a problem with any type of bugs in the Eastern, winter, summer, spring or fall.

seattlecruisers Posted January 10, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Three of the six in our group got bug bites at Princess Cays in late November. We think they were "no-see-ums" and the bites were small and itched like crazy. They went away in about a week or so. That was the first time we've had anything like that happen. If it helps, we had a bungalow so were maybe near more trees, etc. We had a great day there and next time, I will probably use insect spray just to be sure. FamilyDoc Posted January 10, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 10, 2008 You might consider asking your Doc if you can have a B12 shot before you go. It really helps reduce the mosquito bites. :)
