I'm sure this question has been asked before but, does RCCL charge for WIFI connections. I thought I had read somewhere that it was $100 per week?

The Wi Fi is not available at a weekly charge. You can buy packages that go for $25.00 and it works out to be 50 cents a min, the cheapest minute rate is 33 cents which cost $50.00. You receive 150 minutes in the $50.00 package.

 

The weekly rate is for cyber cabins ( only available on select Ships). It is not available on the Freedom Class ships.

 

If you go into RC website and go under frequent questions asked, you will find all the info about internet service on the ships.

Q: Is Internet access available from the ship?

 

A: Yes, depending on the ship there are two or even three options for staying connected while onboard.

 

Cyber Cabin

Unlimited Internet dial-up access from the privacy of your stateroom. A special kits is required - available at the Guest Relations Desk on a first come, first serve basis.

 

A kit is simply a box containing the following:

1. Telephone with a digital to analog converter

2. Telephone cables

3. Power supply

4. Instruction sheet

 

Note: Without the telephone, you will not be able to dial up via a laptop modem.

 

You will need the following:

Windows based operating system

Internal modem

dial-up Internet capabilities

 

The cost for a 7-night cruise is $100.00 USD for unlimited access.

Available onboard, Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, *Brilliance of the Seas, *Radiance of the Seas *Jewel of the Seas, and *Serenade of the Seas.
