We leave in the morning for New York and to meet up with the Queens on Sunday.

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for the wonderful advice, information and of course the entertainment I have gotten here this past year. I’m so fortunate to have found this board and all of you wonderful Cunarders.

Any last minute advice or recommendations?

Aloha and mahalo nui loa!

PS: Penny I will give Mary 2 your love.

The best advice I ever got - but have yet to take:

  • Take half the luggage and twice the money you were planning to!

Enjoy!

Thanks Peter!

Too late on the luggage, I'm SURE I've packed too much :p

Betsy, have a fabulous cruise!!! You have been so much fun on the boards. Your history with the original QM has been so informative. Just relax and enjoy the ship. She is amazing!!! However, leave some small part of the ship to explore on a future cruise. That way you will have the perfect reason to return. Enjoy sailing with the Three Queens. That will be something you will always remember. Post when you return and let us know how you liked the cruise. Bon Voyage.

I have been in 8013 and the view is outstanding. I have not been in 8015 but I know that the view will be more obstructed from that cabin.

Ahhhh Betsy....have the time of your life my dear!! Fall in love with her like i did...stay up late and get up early so you have more time....eat Fallen Chocolate Cake in Todd English and think of me.....sit in the white seats in the Commodore Club and stare out over the bow endlessly.....do the heritage Trail....and have a fabulous time!! Swim with the dolphins in Tortola...I will never forget that moment!

I'll be scanning every NY webcam I can find to watch you sail, so do be a good girl and wave in the general southerly direction of South Carolina...I'll see you I'm sure, at least in my mind's eye. And be sure to wave to all the CCers on the Zephyr....they'll be there in force!!

ENjoy...Bon Voyage...can't wait to hear it all when you return. And thank you for giving her my love...leave your clawmarks next to mine in the Commodore!!!

Cheers, Penny

Hi Roger,

Rob and I will be returning home on that crossing as well. We had 8039 for our Caribbean cruise in November. The view was great, we just had a tiny liferaft to the left of our balcony. Further forward in 8013 the view is unobstructed forward and left but you have a lifeboat to your right. 8015 is an obstructed view with a lifeboat in front.

We had a brilliant Cruise Critic get together in the Commodore Club on the second sea day. We made some wonderful friends, some of whom will also be on this next crossing. It really made the holiday and we hope that perhaps we can all arrange to meet in a similar way on this next trip.
