We have both cruised in Europe and taken a Tauck tour in Europe. It is like comparing apples to oranges. I do think that Tauck is a bit less challenging for people with any limitations in-spite of changing hotels etc. You will have nothing to do with any lifting of luggage or even transporting it to and from your hotel room. Your meals are flexible with high end choices and the hotel rooms are first class. The biggest advantage with Tauck is that you will be escorted into many venues very early in the am with no crowds (pretty much no standing in line and the guides are excellent). This is part of the reason for the high cost. Yes, I can believe Tauck is 2 times more than the average cruise but they are not your typical tour group. I love cruising in Europe but my parents have given up on cruising Europe and have gone exclusively with Tauck as they fell it is less stressful and you have time to really see the cities you visit.

Thank you so much for your post. I just booked the Tauck Classic Italy today. We really our ready for a change. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm really ready to see Italy, first class even better!
