Pub crawl (english), bar crawl (american)

i have just been reading on another thread about the potential for a pub crawl on ship, how many drinking holes can you find on the emerald.???

 

I think one of my days at sea may get used to do a pub crawl.

I think there are seven, not counting the casino, the theater or any of the dining venues. If you look up the deck plans, you can find them all.

Bar hopping is like a pub crawl. No it's not like a cabin crawl -- which is not, I repeat not, like swinging....:D

How about the best place to do a pub crawl in port?

 

My vote - port Stanley in the Falklands - just 5 pubs, I think, but we only managed to hit 3!

I still have my T-shirt from the Golden, too - had to try it at least once. If I remember correctly there were like 14 different bars where you got your card stamped. You needed to get something like 12 out of the 14 to get the prize. I was rushing around on the last day to complete my card and then we ended at the Player's Bar to collect the prize. It was fun!

I think I read somewhere that they discontinued it to discourage excessive drinking [apparently, the nanny state is alive and well on Princess -- after this editorial interlude, we now return you to our scheduled post]. I should think they could get around that worry by mandating that you can't get more than two or three punches or whatever on the same day or within a six-hour period or something. Because it would be a fun thing to do, and done *responsibly* would increase their bar revenues, I'd imagine.

Oh, and Gibraltar wins for best on-land pub crawling -- I believe they have 365 pubs or something like that, so it's a challenge. . .
