new_to_cruising Posted January 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Just curious what juices are available on the Radiance of the Seas. Are they free or do you have to buy a soda card? Are they available all the time and from where? Less than 2 weeks until our first cruise.............
DHADEN Posted January 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2008 On all of the RCI cruises, there were several juices available at breakfast: Apple Grapefruit Orange (sometimes) Pineapple (sometimes) Hot Chocolate Packages Milk And these were free. Also free: Coffee Tea (hot or iced) Water (better and purer than bottled) Hope This Helps.
new_to_cruising Posted January 13, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Are these juices available after breakfast? If so, is there a certain place to get them or are they available from any bar?
new_to_cruising Posted January 13, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Also, is there lemonade available for free as well? Being from Canada, the iced tea is different here than in the US. What type is served on board? Is it real tea, just cold?

Are they available all the time and from where? Less than 2 weeks until our first cruise............. Juices are free on Radiance. Just outside of the Windjammer is a station that is opened 24/7. There is a machine that offers coffee, hot water and then the juice machine. You can usually find orange juice, fruit punch, papaya guava, depending on what they use. In the mornings for cranberry juice, you have to ask, but they will make it up for you from concentrate. Inside the WJ they will have orange juice, apple juice, tomato juice. Lemonade also is available for lunch and dinner and is also free. We usually take a plastic bottle and fill it up and keep it in the cooler in the room. When filling the bottle, always use a plastic cup from the machine to pour into the bottle.
cb at sea Posted January 13, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2008 I wasn't enamoured with the iced tea--very strong and bitter. Same with the coffee in the Windjammer. I found the coffee in the dining room to be quite good. (I refuse to pay for "specialty coffee!) The OJ on the ship wasn't great, IMO. Very acidic and not sweet. But, you can have as much as you want, take some to your room for later, if you want!

BTW The teabags and hot water at all the stations are the only way to drink ICED TEA on a cruise-ship. Get 2 tea-bags, a coffee cup of hot water, stir vigorously for a minute, then pour over a large glass of ice. :p YUMMY! We also take a small coffee maker and our flavored coffee grounds to make GOOD coffee in the room. Hope This Helps.
