For all those who have booked or are going to book the AOS - read this!

Apparently Dee Dee will be on vacation while I am cruising ( at least the week of the 24th, not sure about March 2nd) If she is in fact away, I will not be able to speak with her about her summer plans - for those of you with cruises booked for summer 2008. As far as I know, Dee Dee doesn't know who is replacing her while she is on vacation. I know all of this because someone who is on the Feb 24th sailing got an email from her and mentioned she would not be onboard for this sailing.

Wonder who the Concierge will be??

Hey Tex Jen, we are about 30 days or so behind you on the Adventure....when itinerary are you doing?

we are on the Aruba route

I'm doing the Aruba route as well. I was on the same cruise as ckrobyn last year, but due to circumstances never met while on ship.

Yep. I remember that well. I've convinced everyone we are going to Kakao beach on Orient for my cruise this year. Planning on trying the parasailing at Orient this year. :D

Thanks for making me a part of the family and hope all are well. Drink a Carib for me. ;)

Has anyone tried to book the Marriott through Priceline? We have heard that the Hilton Caribe can be had for a deep discount if you name your own price, but we did not know if anyone had success with the Marriott, which seems to be a nicer resort in San Juan.

Thanks for your help-

Bill and Michelle

Tex Jen.....We love the Kakao area of Orient Beach. I parasailed on OB and it was fabulous.....not to mention the cute French guys that take you out.

Robyn.....it will be interesting to see who your concierge will be. If the CL is NOT open on the first night.....be sure and note that on your comment card. Find out all you can for us!

I always book the Marriott through Marriott.com - I've actually never used priceline.... Seems someone just got a great deal at the Intercontinental through priceline - I think they got it for $135.00

First time I stayed at the Marriott I got it on priceline and that was pre-renovations. The last two times I've stayed on points. Both resorts are very nice. I like the variety of options that surround the Marriott better as the Caribe Hilton is more isolated.

Jen - I have to agree with you on that one.

The Stellaris is right on the Condado, with lots of little shops and restaurants right outside the door of the hotel :)

We got the Marriott on priceline for $115 for our Sept cruise. Last year we got the El San Hotel and Casino which was very nice as well. I have always had good luck on Priceline just stick with resort and you will be fine.

My parents stayed their a few years ago and really enjoyed it. :D In fact they liked it so much that they booked it again for our family cruise in July. I'm still debating on booking it as I have to watch our $$$. I upgraded my cabin for our cruise, so not sure of hotel yet. I would love to stay there, it sounds really nice!!!

We got the Marriott Stellaris through Priceline for $115 for our Septmeber cruise. Several people got that price, as well.

Funny thing, we can't get anything for the prior week's cruise! I wonder why???

I just booked the Stellaris for pre-cruise for our B2B in June. DH told me to get on "my message boards" and find out where the closest Catholic Church is for him. Does anyone here happen to know the answer to this? Might there be a church in walking distance? Thanks in advance.

Hi Suzie :)

Keep checking the Marriott website - rooms usually open up a few weeks before the date you want. A group could have reserved it, but things can change!

Hey Robyn or anyone else who might know....on the night in Aruba, I believe the ship sails at 8pm.....is dinner altered that night.....maybe a free fer all if they think more people are eating in town?

Nope!!! LOL!!! Nice try though ;) Dinner on Aruba night is at the regular time for all passengers, except those dining on land :) The ship leaves Aruba at 8:30pm.

Thanks! There's no way we'll be patient enough to wait though. We hope to have the hotel reservations all set prior to April. We also haven't bought our plane tickets yet.... Lots of work to do!:)

Suzie - the planning is the BEST part!!!! I book my cruises a year out and get to spend 365 days obsessing over every single detail!!! :p :p Ask my DH - he will tell you what a pleasure I am to live with!!!!

I am the same way! LOL. I like the process...even if it can be scary....

Shon sometimes misreads my worry as a bad thing. Today he said, "Don't worry, maybe I should just handle the details". Duh, doesn't he get it? The worry and anxiousness is part of my fun though.
