Hampton Inn in Vancouver?

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

Not sure if you're still looking for an answer. We stayed there two years ago and LOVED it, we had a jacuzzi corner room. Very comfortable beds, friendly staff. At the time they had a shuttle that would take you to several areas. The only downside could be described as the area, it was at the edge of a bad area. No problems whatsoever walking around during the day, but nighttime - we hurried back. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, especially if it was still in the $120 a night range.

Yes it is within walking distance but with luggage you would probably want a taxi unless the hotel has a shuttle.

The following link may help you see the distances etc.

Hope this helps

What are the "bad" areas in Vancouver? Is the Hampton Inn within walking distance of Canada Place? ( Hotel says it is?) I would appreciate any other comments about this hotel. We will be in Vancouver May 8 to 10.

About a mile.

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=111+Robson+Street,+Vancouver,+BC&daddr=canada+place,+vancouver+bc&sll=49.260523,-123.113995&sspn=0.073716,0.166168&ie=UTF8&z=15&om=0

probably more than you want to walk with suitcases. Cab should be $8-10 tops.

As for bad areas; the 'downtown east side' , roughly north of Dunsmuir and east of Cambie is not a place you want to be at night.
