Clarkk W Griswald Posted January 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2008 Anyone have suggestions for a nice beach to go to in Aruba? We'd prefer a beach where we can rent chairs and umbrellas and that has a bar/snacks nearby. Maybe some snorkeling as well for the "kids" (ages 20, 22, 23). Nudity not a problem. joand452 Posted January 24, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2008 Arubalisa, thank you so much for all your detailed answers. We've been to Aruba once (last spring), but did the 4x4 jeep tour and some shopping. When we're there this coming March, we just want to go to the beach. This is most useful!! Thanks, again. roamgeorgia Posted January 24, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2008 on Jan 15, my husband and I took city bus ($2) to Eagle Beach just a few minutes' drive from pier. Rent chairs, umbrella, Sea-Do, parasailing--all here. Hamburger stand on beach and restaurant across the road. Take a dry shirt for return bus ride--can't get on bus all wet. hope you have a great time!
Arubalisa Posted January 24, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2008 Do you remember where on Eagle Beach you got off the bus?
Perky1 Posted January 24, 2008 #7 Share Posted January 24, 2008 Can you also tell me where you get the public bus to Eagle Beach?
akpsoccer Posted January 26, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2008 to get to the bus station you go straight off the boat, past all the people for tours & taxis, and cross the street just to the right. i've taken it to Eagle Beach twice now, and it's cheap and a quick drive. We go to the area of Eagle Beach across from the Amsterdam Hotel...There's a bar there on the beach (i think some food too), we rented chairs, and to the right there were some sea-doo's. i'm 21 and love to snorkel, but didn't do any snorkling in Aruba - heard its not worth it. But its a very beautiful beach!

Amanda, do they rent shade palapas or umbrellas as well? Or is there any shade available? TIA.
akpsoccer Posted January 26, 2008 #10 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Yes, there is shade available if you need it... There are plam trees towards the back of the beach, and then there are also the palapas ...you don't have to pay money to sit under them.
ron317 Posted January 26, 2008 #11 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Are there restrooms accessible from Eagle Beach?
akpsoccer Posted January 26, 2008 #12 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Yes, we were told to go across the street to the Amsterdam Hotel and use the restrooms in their restaurant/bar.
fuzzywuzzy Posted February 14, 2008 #13 Share Posted February 14, 2008 The beaches in Aruba are AWESOME - wide and white and soft. We found a few places when we were exploring in a jeep a few years ago. The colours are fabulous.
