Valentines Day on Carnival?

I'm thinking of a cruise for Feb 09 and was wondering what, if anything, Carnival does for Valentines Day?

Nothing special that I am aware of. But there is a flower shop onboard where roses can be bought or a cake delivered to your room or dining table. If you had 20 people sign up, you can buy a one hour open bar for $12 or so per person. I am on the NCL Sun for this coming Valentine's Day and have arranged the same thing but it is a little more expensive at $18.40pp.

We were on the Valor last year. It was wonderful, red flowers...I think that the ladies all got red carnations....but you were on your own. They offered some extra romance packages....but nothing special. However, we were in St. Thomas, so I did get a beautiful diamond pendant from my husband! He got a handsome watch...we were able to do our own special celebration!

We have travelled several times on 2/14...I am never disappointed!

Happy Cruising...remember half the fun is in the planning!;)
