iflyrc5 Posted January 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2008 I have posted some photos of Aruba that I took on our recent Galaxy Cruise. We did the Rumba snorkeling touring via the ship and then walked the town. I need to do some editing, this is the raw data with limited titles. Here are the links http://www.pbase.com/iflyrc5/aruba_town and http://www.pbase.com/iflyrc5/aruba_snorkeling Comments are welcome.
Arubalisa Posted January 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2008 Ah!!! My favorite island AND my favorite ship? What more could a gal ask for except maybe free passage or a plane ticket? :D Thank you for sharing. You have truly captured the essence of Aruba. I enjoyed your Galaxy photos as well. ;)

01 Cobra Posted January 24, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2008 We are going to Aruba in August. It looks like the snorkling was WONDERFUL! We may just have to try this tour. I hope RCI offers it too. Thanks for sharing your pictures. They were really good.
iflyrc5 Posted January 24, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted January 24, 2008 what kind of underwater camera did you use for those pics? It is an Olympus 720SW and good to 10 feet deep. There newest model 790SW is good to 30 feet. Works well for beaches and for snorkeling.

The model inbetween ours, which is the 770SW is the 33 feet camera. There are also a couple newer models that came out. iluvcruzin Posted January 30, 2008 #9 Share Posted January 30, 2008 Nice photos. I just won a e-bay auction for the Olympus 720SW for a reasonable price. I can't wait to use it. :)
luvmy2doxs Posted February 7, 2008 #10 Share Posted February 7, 2008 Thanks for sharing the photos. We are thinking of taking our next cruise that will have a stop in Aruba. We also have the Olympus 720SW and absolutely love it. Just got back from Grand Cayman and it took great snorkeling pictures. It is also my favorite camera to use at home. Very nice size screen on the back and compact to take anywhere!
