Jolly Roger Tour Ship - question?

Ok, we will be on Carnival mid March and stopping in Barbados. My husband and I have ALWAYS booked the Jolly Roger through the cruise line, however, I just found out it is sold out. Haven't cruised in a few years and didn't know you could book online for these already.

Does anyone know if we can just book with the crew of the Roger when we get into port? I've seen in the past there has been 2 ships at the pier, didn't know if one is booked for just island guest or what.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks much!

- or catch Harbour Master instead.

Run by the same TallShips company that runs Jolly Roger.

Big stable comfortable, frehwater rinse after snorkelling

water slide, 3 decks of fun...

Lunch included.

Longest floating bar in the Caribbean.:)

Thanks so much for the info - I will look into that one instead.

Too bad about the Jolly Roger, however I'm sure she will be in great shape when done.

Great pictures also, THANK YOU!!:D

Glad you liked the pics.

Harbour Master is great fun, and is big and comfortable, unlike smaller coastal cruisers

- you can walk around during your day

and in between the dancing and watersliding, etc.

truth is...the old Jolly has been sold to Trinidad

and there is a new one to be built(fiberglass this time - not wood)

built from the ground up, to spec., in Maine I believe.

After converting several wooden island schooners over the last few decades

the time has come to build Ye Perfecte Pirate Vessel

given the experiences gained during that time.

When the new Jolly is completed is another question

because I doubt her keel has been laid yet

but there are definite plans afoot, I assure you.

Give it a year or two, and this new one should last a long long time

with no breaks in service other than routine annual dry dock

for bottom cleaning

-and they do that during the slow months of Sept./October, anyways.

Ho ho ho ...bring yer bottle of rum :D
